Happy Bungie Day ’09!
So last Thursday I decided it would be stellar if I made a quick Bungie Day vid for my favourite video game developers. (Check out the vid above if you haven’t already)
The thing is, I also decided to go camping during the weekend, from July 3rd to 5th, giving me the 2nd and the 6th to create the music, write the lyrics, record myself trying to sing, edit my terrible voice, fine tune the magical piece, act like a lame pop star via a few custom games in halo, theater mode that poop, record da vidz using mah capture card, find the good footage, Photoshop a few images together, make some words look important by slapping them on top the vid, cut and paste everything together, add some glue, wait for it to dry, paint it a different colour and send it off to hard working machinima people over at M.com.
Yup.
I found myself still stabbing away at the video deep into the late hours of the night… or morning. Somewhere around 3 AM. I should never give myself such deadlines, but what can I say? I wanted to show Bungie how much I lub them by creating a video dedicated to Bungie Day ’09.
I hope they see it. =/
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy my Bungie Day ’09 vid and you don’t end up following the trend of the thousands of eleventeens who like to flame anyone who makes a video about reconz… or halo… or because the person can’t sing. (I try my best, honestly I do. I just want to make Bungie happy.) *sad face*
I’ve actually learnt a lot about the YouTube machinima community based off of my last few videos that have made it online. 90% of the community is most likely under the age of 15 and cannot understand why certain videos are uploaded in the first place. They’re also known for their terrible insulting techniques and their incredibly bad grammar/spelling errors. And if the video has one or two things that they seem to dislike, the whole video becomes complete trash in their eyes. 0/5 stars and a “your a homo” comment.
It’s hard having to appeal to such a community… *yawnz*
