Hey Ginger, Reddit and Machinima!

I got to admit, I'm probably the laziest blogger in the world. Here's a recap of what's been going on with Bucky Studios.

I CAN ONLY LESS THAN 3D!
Machinima.com released my 'Nintendo 3DS Song' music video. It didn't do as well as I expected. I thought 12 - 15 year old boys liked techno/autotuned songs. Not to mention the majority of Machinima subscribers are Xbox 360 / PS3 fanboys. I'll remember not to do that for next time.

September rolled around and school started back up. I didn't get to play around with my new camera as much as I wanted during the summer. I was always at my job, selling cameras to help pay for rent.

NOBLE TEAM... FTW!
9 days before Halo Reach was released, Machinima uploaded my following video, 'Noble Team Theme.' It's a short white boy rap written by my roommate and I. As much as I thought it would do somewhat decent, I also learned that the Machinima community dislikes white boys rapping. Another hit to the ego. Perhaps my videos are becoming less entertaining and more of waste of time. However, it seemed the Halo fanboys loved it.

HEY GINGER!!!1
This leads to my most recent YouTube video, 'Hey Ginger.' I was visiting my parents house and my 2 younger brothers had both been spray painting their plastic pellet toy guns black. Luckily I had brought my new camera over and a couple of hours later we had made a short film.

They had an awesome time acting out the scene! They're the most honest, sincere, nicest kids I know. (And I'm not just saying that cause I'm their older brother.) The next few days I edited the video and decided I'd throw the final product on a DVD and give it to them for their birthdays, which are only a few weeks apart.

When they first watched it, they laughed their heads off, asking me "How did you make the gun fire?!" and yelling, "That was AWESOME!" Now keep in mind, my little brothers are young and as much as I hate kid violence, I know my lil' bros are mature enough to take it for the lighthearted humour that it is. A lot of people on YouTube and Reddit have been offended by this, which is understandable. I don't encourage guns, especially when they're in the hands of children. However, for the sake of added entertainment in a fictional 2 minute action scene, I have no problem with it. Look at the movie 'Bad-Ass' for example. It wasn't in theaters to encourage violence in kids, it was made to entertain the mass public.

If my little brothers are going to take anything out of this little video, it's the understanding of special effects. Things may look real on film, but having first hand experience acting out a fight scene, they know full well, live action cinema can be just as fictional as any childrens cartoon.

Wow, that was a lot typing.

Anyways, I let you guys know that I'll most likely be making a sequel sometime in the near future, so be sure to subscribe.

I would also like to thank reddit to the MAX for upvoting 'Hey Ginger' to the front page! Without you guys, I wouldn't be able to share my talent! So big THANK-YOU to my favourite interwebz community! You guys ROCK!

And finally, here's another picture of my roommate Gage that was shot and edited 2 weeks ago.
