Joystiq & Answers!
Yay! Joystiq.com featured 'The Legend of Cool' on their prestigious nintendo blog! Check it out here! Thanks Justin McElroy, I owe you one. (=
On another note, there have been a lot of people asking for the mp3. Well if you haven't seen the previous post, you can buy any one of Bucky Studios' songs for only a $1.00! Just click the songs link at the top of the page.
And I thought I'd answer the texture question. Everyone seems confused to why the textures are not the same as in the original game. Rather than using my N64 to capture the footage, I used an emulator with the 'Ocarina of Time' rom. The original textures were nice, but they weren't hi-res... so I used Djipi's cel-shaded texture pack to keep things fresh and smooth.
Here's a mouse-over comparision between the original, Djipi's cel-shaded pack and Federelli's hi-res pack. (Click on the image for the cel-shaded version.) I decided to go with the Djipi's texture pack, knowing it would give my song a more cheerful, upbeat feel.
So there ya go. That's why the graphics seem slightly off in the video. Thought I'd fill you guys in.
Lub,
Chris.
